DESIGNED
FOR: The introduction courses are designed for dentists and dental
professionals with an interest in, or currently treating, patients with snoring
or Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) through the utilization of Oral Appliance
Therapy (OAT). These courses will help dentists learn to incorporate OAT into
their practices.
The
introductory courses will, among other topics, cover upper airway evaluation,
types and mechanisms of action, titration of mandibular advancement devices,
insertion, adjustments, side effects and complications, practice parameters,
surgery for OSA, practice marketing and patient management, insurance
reimbursement and a literature review.
