DESIGNED FOR: This course is intended for dentists with a basic knowledge in the field of dental sleep medicine who are currently treating patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea using oral appliance therapy.

This course includes didactic lectures from an expert faculty on different sleep disorders and how they impact the treatment of the patients as well as various group discussions related to OAT. During interactive sessions, attendees will document complications and side-effects associated with OAT and develop consistent methods for treating those complications.

Topics will include: portable monitoring, fibromyalgia and sleep, residual sleepiness after successful OAT, restless legs syndrome, phase delayed and phase advanced sleep, current research on OAT complications, how humans sleep: insights from anthropology, TMJ problems and solutions, and OAT complications and solutions.
