Pursuant to ADA and LDA Bylaws, dues must be paid as a condition of membership. Dues are due January 1, and are delinquent on April 1. 

Dues payments and contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes to the extent that payments are not made to 501(c)(3) organizations. United States taxpayers please note: Under tax law, only that portion of an association member's dues not attributable to lobbying activities is deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. For 2008, 9.6% ($48.00) of full ADA dues and 16.2% ($52.00) of full LDA dues is allocable to lobbying activities and therefore, nondeductible as a business expense.

Corporate PAC contributions cannot be used by ADPAC to make campaign contributions to individuals. If your practice is incorporated, PLEASE make your PAC contribution by personal credit card or personal check.  PAC contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires political action committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year.

In 2008, the dues allocation for The Journal of the American Dental Association and the ADA News will remain $25 and $8 respectively. The dues allocation for the LDA Journal will remain $15.

LDA AUTOMATIC BANK DRAFT PAYMENT PROGRAM

In response to member requests, we are pleased to offer the LDA Automatic Bank Draft Payment Program. This is an easy way to pay your ADA, LDA and local component membership dues!

        the American Dental Political Action Committee (ADPAC).
