Expanded Services at
the LSU School of Dentistry Library
Starting on Sunday, June 29, 2008, the LSU School of
Dentistry Library will be open the following hours:
Sunday 1:30 p.m. 10:00 p.m.
Monday
through Thursday 8:00 a.m.
10:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Saturday Closed
Dental health professionals are welcome to visit the library,
register as a library patron, and check out books. While in the library, you can also photocopy articles from
journals in the stacks. To print articles
from our online journals, you will need to purchase a pay-for-print card, sold
in values of $5.00 or $10.00. Each card
has a $1.00 service charge.
If you wish to order articles without coming to the library,
just register for Loansome Doc and then submit requests electronically through
PubMed. There are 3 steps in the process:
1.
Contact the dental library. We
will send you a form to fill out and return
to the LSUHSC library. You will then
receive a library ID (LIBID).
2.
With the LIBID, you are ready to register online for Loansome Doc.
3.
Go to PubMed at http://pubmed.gov,
search for your articles, and order them electronically from the dental
library.
