Dentists' Day at the Legislature

The entire dental team is invited to attend Dentists' Day at the Legislature. Dentists' Day is a grassroots event celebrating the dental profession that offers dentists the opportunity to meet their lawmakers. After visiting with your legislators, don't forget to enjoy the reception, with food, music, and fun!

Dentists' Day 2024 Registration
You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration. If you do not receive an email, check your junk folder. Be sure to mark all email addresses from the LDA/ADA as safe senders.

Schedule of Events

2 p.m.	Briefings at TBD (Walking distance from the Capitol)
4:30 p.m.	Visit House and Senate chambers and leave notes for legislators
5:30 p.m. or upon adjournment	Reception for dentists, guests, and legislators at Pentagon Barracks

Parking

A mix of free and metered parking is available across from the library on 4th Street and on Spanish Town Road. Visitors with handicap permits may park for free in the lot between the Iberville Building and the State Library; access is from North 3rd Street.

The LaSalle Parking Garage is open for State employees only; a State ID badge is required to enter and exit.
River Road is close to the levee and across from the Pentagon Barracks.
If you would like to park close to where your evening will end (Pentagon Barracks), we suggest parking on River Road and walking to the Library.

Street Parking
There is street parking available and costs $0.25 every 15 minutes and can be paid several ways, including the Flowbird USA app, kiosks located on every block, and signs with QR codes and texting options throughout the downtown area. Please note that there is a maximum limit of 2 hours daily to park on the street.

Galvez Parking Garage (Available to All Visitors)

Attendants are no longer on duty. You must know your license plate number for payment via mobile device.
The Galvez parking garage closes at 9 p.m.

Directions to Galvez Garage: If traveling west on North Street from the Interstate, the entrance is on the left between 5th Street and 6th Street. If traveling east on Main Street from River Road, the entrance is on the left between 5th Street and 6th Street.
