The L.H. Bowden Leadership Development Conference has been training LDA leaders to work effectively within the association for 47 years. Registration is free, and attendance is COMPULSORY for component officers as well as for LDA officers, directors, and committee chairs. The LDA is offering mileage reimbursement to all compulsory attendees, and hotel reimbursement (one night) for those traveling from 100 miles away or more.

$139 per night for run of house, plus applicable state and local taxes (currently 16%) in effect at the time of check in.

Take I-110 S toward Baton Rouge and merge onto I-10 E via exit 11 on the LEFT toward New Orleans. Take exit 162A for Bluebonnet Blvd/LA-1248 toward E Baton Rouge and travel 0.6 miles. Renaissance will be on the right, just past Mall of Louisiana.

Take I-10 W toward Baton Rouge. Exit at 162A, Bluebonnet Blvd/LA-1248. Turn left at Bluebonnet Blvd and travel 0.7 miles. Renaissance will be on the right, just past Mall of Louisiana.

Ryan C. Philip Hunke, D.D.S., M.S.D.
President, MCNA Insurance Company
Philip Hunke, D.D.S., M.S.D., serves as the President of MCNA Insurance Company, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Hunke is a distinguished Texas Pediatric Dentist and executive. Dr. Hunke is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry, and served as the President and long-term board member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. As President of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Hunke provided leadership for quality initiatives including the development of the national dental home guidelines. His dedication to the oral health of the children of Texas embodies MCNA's vision for high-quality care.
David L. McKeon, D.D.S.
Louisiana Executive Director, MCNA Insurance Company
David McKeon, D.D.S., serves as the Louisiana Executive Director. His experience as a clinical professor with the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Dentistry and in private practice in Louisiana has provided Dr. McKeon with a high level of technical knowledge and an innate cultural understanding that guides MCNA in meeting the oral healthcare needs of the state's Medicaid population. He is the former Director of the Dental Health Resources Dental Authorization Unit at LSU, a position in which he also served as the Dental Director for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH). Dr. McKeon's expertise in connection with the Louisiana Medicaid Program and the DHH ensure that MCNA is an efficient and highly responsive partner to the state.
