
Dr. Mark Koup (pronounced Kowp) is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and the Director of the Pre-doctoral Comprehensive Care Clinics. He also directs several didactic courses in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences and lectures at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. Additionally, he is a private practicing dentist at Koup Family Dental in Paoli, PA– a practice established by his father in 1977.
Dr. Koup was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2011 and Fellowship in the International College of Dentists in 2019. He was also honored with Penn Dental Medicine’s Inaugural Young Alumni Award of Merit in 2019.
Dr. Koup’s areas of research and interest include adhesive dentistry, dental luting agents and digital dentistry. In his free time he enjoys fitness, the Jersey Shore and being a DJ at local establishments.
