Meet Annette
Annette Droddy has been executive director of the Louisiana Dental Association (LDA) since May 2020. She began her career at the LDA as the director of communications and public affairs in 2003 and became the assistant executive director in 2011. Prior to her work at the LDA, Annette was the assistant director of communications at Catholic High School. In October 2022, she was inducted as an honorary fellow into the International College of Dentists in recognition for her work for the dental profession during the COVID pandemic. She graduated from the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication in May 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, a concentration in public relations, and a minor in business administration.
She is married to Dr. Jason Droddy, and they have two children. She has been a member of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana Baton Rouge Chapter since 1998, and served in various roles, including the role of president in 2004. Annette also received the association’s lifetime achievement award, the First Circle Award, in 2015.
She is your resource for governmental issues, including questions related to Medicaid, statewide legislation impacting dentists, LDA House of Delegate resolutions, ADA related issues, LDA Bylaw policies and procedures, fiduciary obligations of association leaders, and LDS endorsed companies (or just about anything LDA-related that you're curious about).

Rebecca Bordelon

Meet Rebecca
Rebecca joined the LDA staff in 2023. She manages the LDA communications schedule, social media, email, text, the LDA Journal design, and the LDA website. She also manages grassroots alerts during the legislative session.
Rebecca graduated from the LSU Ogden Honors College and Manship School of Mass Communication with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication - Public Relations and a minor in Psychology.
Communications work has impacted all aspects of Rebecca's life. Over the years, she has organized social media campaigns for her hometown theater, worked as a tour guide for LSU, and even created a brand for her father's beekeeping business.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys tending to her plants, working on home improvement projects, and perusing estate sales with her partner.
Michelle Gussman

Meet Michelle
Michelle joined the LDA staff in September 2026. She specializes in communications and organizational leadership and has more than 25 years of experience across higher education, government, nonprofit, agency, and private-sector organizations.
Originally from Mississippi, Michelle earned two degrees from the University of Mississippi: a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a master’s degree in higher education–student personnel.
Michelle spent nearly 20 years at LSU, most recently as associate director in the Office of the Dean of Students. During her tenure, she managed registered student organizations, advised Student Government, coordinated leadership programs and campus traditions, and served as president of the LSU Staff Senate.
After LSU, Michelle served as chapter development director for The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, where she supported chapter leaders and helped strengthen chapter operations, engagement, and growth.
Michelle is also the founder of MLG Consulting, a Baton Rouge-based strategic communications firm, and an adjunct instructor in LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication, where she teaches Public Relations Writing and Applications. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Bill, their families, and their pets.
Tiffany Waddell

Meet Tiffany
Tiffany Waddell has worked as the LDA Director of Accounting for many years. She records and manages all financial activities of the LDA and all subsidiaries and affiliates. She also serves as the staff liaison to the Budget Committee, LDS, LDA Foundation, LADPAC, and DAP-PAC.
Tiffany graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with minors in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology.
She is originally from the Zachary area where her grown son (Tommy), Mom and sweet puppy, Max, still live. She is also the proud mom of Haley – a travel nurse who’s roaming the United States with her husband, Jacob, having the time of their lives.
Aside from cheering on LSU during football and baseball season, Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
