Meet Jim

As Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for the American Dental Association, Jim Schulz leads the ADA's advocacy efforts at the federal level and works with stakeholders across the country to advance policies that improve oral health and strengthen the dental profession.

Course Title: Advocacy in Action: Shaping the Future of Dentistry Through Relationships and Engagement

Course Description: Drawing on more than two decades of experience in government affairs, political advocacy, and association leadership, Jim will discuss the current policy landscape, the importance of building relationships with elected officials, and how dentists can play a role in shaping the future of oral health through effective advocacy and engagement.

Expect to learn a lot about how we’ll lay the groundwork for the basic principles that make for an effective advocacy campaign, and how the ADA and LDA work simultaneously to keep control of dentistry in the hands of the dentists.
